How did it go?
Brasserie Roux
8 Pall Mall, St James, London, SW1Y 5NG
On Saturday 19th May we had our second blind date when Amanda and Lars met in Brasserie Roux for their surprise evening.

They hit it on straight away, and when we left them in peace after a short interruption to take the photographs, they seemed to have settled in a deep conversation.

We would like to thank Brasserie Roux for helping us to organise the event. The professional team running this outstanding venue deserves all the credit for our contestants' enjoyable evening.
Her words
I was quite nervous on my way to Brasserie Roux on Saturday night, who exactly had the www.RestaurantBlindDate.com users chosen for my blind date? I shouldn't have been worried, Lars was amusing and the conversation flowed from the start.

After the initial embarrassment of being snapped for the website, we ordered some drinks and could relax a bit. Obviously an Albert Roux created restaurant comes highly recommended and so the food didn't disappoint. I had salmon to start followed by an amazing loin of pork and topped off with some fresh berries and ice cream (my tiny attempt at being healthy!).

The ambience of this Pal Mal restaurant was relaxed and the staff incredibly friendly. We had fun and Lars had plenty of stories to keep me entertained through dinner and a drink afterwards. No need for Cilla to buy a hat but we had a good night and I would totally recommend Brasserie Roux for a date venue.

His words

Thank you for setting up a pleasant evening with good food and good company.

I was phoned by a representative from the site on Friday morning, who explained to me in brief terms what was going to happen and this was confirmed by an email stating the place and the time.

It was an enjoyable evening where once I arrived at the restaurant, I was introduced to my blind date and we were later shown our table. After the pictures had been taken and the formal introduction was done, we were left to order our food and start getting to know each other.

The spark between us didn't appear but we enjoyed the conversation and we laughed and smiled a lot debating about all sorts of topics. The waiters, the venue and the food was all very good and it is a place I will go back to again to try some of the other dishes.

All in all it is a very nice way to meet new people where the date and place is being arranged for you - and hey who declines a free dinner at a good restaurant in good company? :)

Guys, don't be afraid to do this - its recommended.
